Fun fact: I first met Michaela in the carpark of a sporting goods shop in Accra, Ghana. Long story short, I was there to interview her for American Vogue hot on the heels of her multi-award-winning series I Must Destroy You and she suggested we go rollerblading in lieu of the traditional sit-down interviewâbecause absolutely nothing she does is conventional or expectedâand sadly I did not come prepared. As @renieddolodge points out in her terrific profile of the writer, actor and director, the world has been suffering from a distinct Michaela-shaped hole of late and so her return to the spotlight couldnât be more triumphant. As well as starring roles in Steven Soderberghâs The Christophers and David Loweryâs Mother Mary, sheâs developing a highly anticipated ten-part series that she will write, executive produce and star in. Emotionally porous, with boundless vision and a sense of humanity in equal measure, she is a genuine fire-starter for our times; a truly rare star. I am so thrilled to have her on the September shot by the brilliant @harleyweir and styled by my talented friend @nellkalonji. Hair by @CyndiaHarvey, make-up by @AnaTakahashiii, nails by @AngelsNailz, set design by @Tilly_Power33 and production by @FaragoProjects. Global entertainment director @sergiokletnoy
This monthâs cover with the fantastic @dualipa feels like pure sunshine to meâand here in London, itâs really beginning to feel like summer, so the timing couldnât be better. The wonderful @gabywoodbooks trailed Dua on the European leg of her Radical Optimism tour for story and her interview is such a good read. Dua talks candidly about her hopes for the future, about her desire to deepen the familial bonds that have sustained her over the years, and her relationship with her fiance Callum Turner, one that, much like her meteoric rise to fame, seems to have been written in the stars. Fun fact: there was a moment at the Miu Miu show in Paris earlier this year when me and my colleague Laura Ingham turned to each other to share the same thought: we absolutely needed to shoot a bullet bra for the cover. Few people embody the unbridled feminine energy of this iconic look more than Dua.đč #DuaLipa photographed by @DavidSimsOfficial and styled by Camilla Nickerson, with hair by @OlivierSchawalder, make-up by @Yad1m, nails by @NailsByMH, set design by @PoppyBartlettStudio and production by @ErinFeeProductions. Fun fact: Billie is the youngest musician ever to headline both Coachella and Glastonbury. With nine grammys, two Oscars, and no less than 20 Guinness World Records to her name, she continues her own unique reign over the 2020s, both as a pop star and style icon. This at the tender age of 23! When I asked photographer Johnny Dufort, who shot Billie in LA for this monthâs cover story, what it she was like, he described her as âregal.â And itâs true that with her Chanel headscarf, buttoned-up Martine Rose anorak, and steely blue-eyed gaze, she is radiating Balmoral-worthy levels of poise and grace. And I just love it! So thank you Johnny! To mark the kick-off of her European tour, we invited some of her friends, fans, and those she admiresâthe likes of Jane Fonda and Ariana Grande, to Willy Chavarria and Chappell Roanâ to ask her the burning questions they always wanted to know, but were too shy to ask. So go check out the story when you get a chance. The first time I saw Doechii perform live was late year in a tiny venue in East London with @dee_acharya. Sure, I listened to her music and watched some of her videos, but nothing could have prepared me for her performanceâit was electrifying, the walls literally shook with awe and excitement. Even then I donât think I could have predicted the insane rise to fame sheâs had in the last six monthsâmaking history at the Grammys and wowing crowds in their thousands at Glastonbury just a couple of weeks ago. Her ascent in the fashion space has been just as meteoric: watching her take Paris Fashion Week earlier this year was an absolute thrill. In a world where celebrity trends can often feel prescriptive, she is a riveting example of a woman harnessing the full power of her personal style. Writer @jazzloon interviewed Doechii for the issue and got to experience her crazy world up close. I think this cover story really captures her vitality. I love that my friend @stella_greenspan styled her in this gorgeous Givenchy dress from Sarah Burtonâs debut. It all feels like how summer should feel. photographed by @ElizavetaPorodina and styled by @Stella_Greenspan, with hair by @JawaraW, make-up by @IAmJamalScott, nails by @AllHailThyNail, set design by @AvaVillafane and production by @CircadianPictures for the August 2025 issue of @BritishVogue.
Anyone who knows me well knows Iâm a bit of a nut about my well being. (Yoga, meditation, tracking my sleep, even taping my mouth shut at night đŹ). I know for a fact that my mum is officially fed up with me talking about it. Thankfully @jessicadiner totally indulges all of my obsessions and it was her genius idea to host a Vogue Wellness Escape. We got to do all of my favorite thingsâsounds baths, foraging, Pilates, and even a guided meditation with @deepakchopra (Obviously I grilled him for all his wellness routines at dinner. Turns out he meditates and does yoga for five hours a day!!) He also did a fantastic talk the next day. Canât believe we got so lucky with the weather. The Daylesford Farm @bamford was an absolute dream, so thank you to @carolebamford for hosting us. Special thanks to @jenbonassera who worked tirelessly with Jess to bring this all to life. And to @alo @augustinusbader @moodsaromatherapy @roxienafousi @vida_glow @whatsthatpatch for helping make the magic happen.
Bella Hadid is a literal dream girl on our June coverâtruly a supermodel for all seasons! Iâm so so thrilled for this one. To me she has always radiated a kind of old Hollywood movie star energy. Besides being heart-stoppingly beautiful, thereâs a mystique about her. And I think these gorgeous black and white images shot by the legendary Steve Meisel and styled by Ib Kamara really speak to that. Plus, I just love that sheâs in full-powered fashion mode with sky-high hair and sky-high heels. Bella is a highly intuitive, emotional porous and such a gentle soul. I remember eons ago when she was just starting her career and I was still living in New York. I ran into her on the steps of the PS1 museum in Queens with a dear friend who was having a bit of moment and in a flood of tears. Without knowing who we were, Bella came over to comfort my friend. We were both moved by her sense of empathy. My colleague @gileshattersley sat down with Bella in Paris for the cover story. His interview is truly riveting and gives rare glimpses into her complex inner world. A must read! And thanks to @janay_bailey1 for booking thisâ€ïž @BellaHadid photographed by @StevenMeiselOfficial and styled by @IbKamara, story by @gileshattersley with hair by @GuidoPalau, make-up by @PatMcGrathReal, nails by @JinSoonChoi and production by @ProdN_ArtAndCommerce for the June 2025 issue of @BritishVogue.
Everything about this yearâs Met Gala was extra special, including the dreamiest of dream suit I wore by my dear friend @martine_rose đč. Martineâs team were just wonderful too, and the look felt perfect from the moment I put it on in the fitting. I love all the cheeky detailsâthe rodeo belt and the earrings have the word âBaitâ etched into them and I had a lot of fun trying to explain that word to the Americans in the room (DM me if youâre still unsure.) I also love that @charlottemensah threaded my hairâhavenât done that since I was in Nigeria as a kid! And Iâm very grateful to @adamdecruz who did my makeup for putting me on to @saloncstellar to get my skin right. They play guided meditations while you get your dose of red light, itâs pretty special. A big thank you to @toryburch for hosting me at her table, we had the most fun, and to @janicza for doing the podcast with me and @chloemalle after hours at the museum. If youâre in New York, you must go see this exhibit when you get a chance, it is truly spectacular.
I love that Bella Ramsey looks like theyâve stepped out of another era on this cover. It was such a privilege to see the legendary Paolo Roversi at work in his light-filled studio in Paris (he basically only works with natural light so his process is deeply fascinating) alongside my dear friend and contributing Vogue editor @ibkamara who styled this gorgeous story. For the interview, Bella invited writer @miss_zing to a local farm near their family home in the Midlands â a far cry from the post-apocalyptic landscape of their hit HBO show, The Last of Us. In their candid conversation, the actor reveals themselves to be both profoundly intuitive, self-possessed and infinitely wise beyond their years. Itâs such a good read! Tyla, I mean honestly what a superstar! I have been chomping at the bit to share this one since we shot the cover late last year. I was fortunate enough to witness her internet-breaking entrance to the Met Gala in person. (Full disclosure: when her publicist, my dear dear friend @matrixmel showed me an initial sketch of the look â a sand-encrusted Balmain gown, hourglass in the most literal sense â I wasnât convinced Tyla could pull it off. Oh, how she proved me wrong!) I was reminded of her instincts for well-timed fashion risks on the set of this monthâs cover story. Around 10pm, after a long day of shooting, Raf Pavarotti suggested one final idea: what if she modelled the last looks under a shower of water, as a nod to her breakout single of the same name? Tyla immediately took up the challenge, gamely dancing in the rain. A hip-swivelling style icon in the making. For her profile, Vogueâs style editor, @funmifetto, travelled between London and Tylaâs home town, Johannesburg, to discover a singer very much in her element. âTyla represents South Africaâs cultural renaissance,â Joburg designer Thebe Magugu tells Fetto. âShe unapologetically showcases â even boasts â about our culture. Itâs a beautiful reminder to use where you are from as fuel to push you further, not something to hide so you can assimilate.â In short, the very definition of a headliner for this exciting new era. Also the video of her cooking pap and boerewors (last slide is a sneak peek!) is just adorable and hilarious. Collaborated with GQ for the first time on Vogueâs annual Fashion and Film party with Tiffany and Co and it couldnât have been more fun. So so excited for my co-hosts this year: @adrienbrody @cynthiaerivo @harrisdickinson Mickey Madison and of course my friend and colleague @adambaidawi. I was especially touched to see all the Wicked fans outside waiting for autographs from Cynthia. And she was so gracious! Danced until I almost dropped (pro tip, @malonesouliers make the most comfortable heels for dancing) and my waistline is still in recovery from the gorgeous @viviennewestwood look. It took both @honeysweetelias who styled me and @yasminehanni to get me into the corset!! The corset was no joke but so worth it! And just the dreamiest of dream teams for glam. So thank you @charlottemensah and @adamdecruz They literally wave magic wands each time. And then of course the drip! Pearls, my fave, part of collection designed for Tiffany by the one and only @pharrell đ đœ
Itâs the biggest after-party on a monumental night for British film, and for the first time, @BritishVogue and @BritishGQ will team up to host the annual #BAFTAs Fashion & Film party on Sunday, 16 February, with @TiffanyAndCo. Click the link in bio for everything you need to know ahead of the night.
Iâve always had a soft spot for Bridget Jones, maybe because, like most people, Iâve had my fair share Bridget-ish moments. And no-one really manages to bring that endearingly messy romanticism to the big screen quite like RenĂ©e. We had such a fantastic time on set with herâI learned that besides being a Hollywood megastar, sheâs also a public policy scholar, just something she does in her spare time between movies. No biggie. The legendary @tonnegood styled these gorgeous images with photographer @nikolaivonbismarck and it was such a treat to see them all working together. Speaking of treats, Hugh Grant did the interview with Renee and it really is totally hilarious. They both have the kind of cheeky humor I adore and their friendship just sparkles on the page. Itâs such a good giggly read. You can almost hear them cackling!
