As the year draws to a close, I'd like to share a 2024 achievement that I'm proud of 😊 I dipped my toe back in the public eye after a few years away, which was daunting for me. I returned via this interview with @over_under_pod_ , with Gary and Carys, both of whose work I value so much. It felt really nice to be able to be my full self in a trusted environment!

I’m delighted to be working with the excellent team at @4thestatebooks to bring my new publishing imprint, @monumentbooks to life! We chose the name Monument because I want every book I publish as part of this project to stand the test of time. I was a reader before I was a writer, and I want to give readers that same electrifying feeling I've experienced over the years with my favourite books. Yesterday marked a decade since I wrote the piece that - slowly, then quickly, then suddenly - changed my life.

I wrote the cover story for the September issue of @britishvogue, profiling the incredibly sharp and witty @michaelacoel ! We talked about two films she's starring in this autumn - Steven Soderbergh's The Christophers and David Lowery's Mother Mary - as well as her thoughts on life, love and writing. She also gave me the lowdown on her next TV project, which she's still working on. I really enjoyed hanging out with Michaela. She was so generous with her time, and I ended up meeting her partner, Spencer, and her mum, Kuukua. It was fascinating to learn about what she's been up to in the years that she's been out of the public eye. I hope you enjoy reading!
