RUN WITHOUT A SOUND   Die Galerie HOTO ( @hoto_gallery) präsentiert in Zusammenarbeit mit der Leica Camera AG vom 14. September bis zum 11. Oktober 2024 Werke der Schauspielerin und Fotografin Emilia Schüle ( @emilia.schuele) im Kollektiv - mit den KünstlerInnen Johanna Berghorn ( @johannaberghorn) und Sebastian Berthold ( @bergstrvm).   Die Vision für „RUN WITHOUT A SOUND“ entstand aus der langjährigen Arbeit von Emilia Schüle als Botschafterin für die humanitäre Organisation Plan International und ihrer tiefen Leidenschaft für Fotografie. Gemeinsam mit der Menschenrechtsexpertin Waleria Schüle, die zudem ihre Schwester ist, wurde diese fotografische Reise nach Kolumbien konzipiert. Dokumentiert wurden drei Projekte, die sich dem Empowerment von Kindern und Jugendlichen widmen. ⚠️ Some images show war injuries and wounded veterans. In Kyiv, what I felt most was warmth, strength, and hope. It’s almost surreal—the war is present everywhere, yet you rarely see fear in people’s eyes. On the contrary, life goes on; people keep smiling, and you witness so much beauty, resilience, and dignity in their togetherness. 💛 This journey was special — for my work, as research for a role close to my heart, but also on a very personal level, since my mother is from Ukraine. 🇺🇦 Because of her, I was able to have intense conversations—with locals, taxi drivers, veterans, and fellow travelers. The moments in the hospital, where wounded soldiers and returning veterans are treated, made me realize even more deeply how profound the wounds of war are—visible on bodies, felt in stories. 🕊️ Especially in those places where pain and loss are most present, I experienced an incredible mix of courage, dignity, and hope. Thank you to everyone who welcomed me and shared their stories. I’m taking that hope with me—and already look forward to returning to this remarkable city. 💙 🎞️/ contax t3
