Developed across two distinct yet interwoven layers, photographic and sculptural, this work examines the potential of repetition as both form and gesture. Exhibition at Fondazione ITS - Museum of Art in Fashion curated by Olivier Saillard & Emanuele Coccia @itsplatform @oliviersaillard @unicamens 💙 My heart is full. It took me a while to process what happened few months ago. I am honored and grateful presenting my first photographic series displayed in a museum. Words aren’t enough to describe the joy and gratitude I have towards major curators and incredible human beings as Olivier and Emanuele. It’s such a pleasure having the chance to collaborate with artists you admire and people who trust you. People who care about your way of see things. I’ll be endlessly thankful for every single step we took together in such a journey. It still feels a dream. I’m full filled with the love I received from Fondazione ITS team, Barbara Michele Sergio Alessia Paola and everybody else who was there with us. Special thanks to my life-time colleagues, people I live and work with everyday, my friends Alberto Giulia Camilla Michele Mia Gil and Luca. This is a special one to me. 💙 “Fashionlands, Clothes Beyond Borders - a photographic series based on the analysis of an ordinary wardrobe. An inventory of archetypes. A sort of anthropological palette. The images frame the enduring essence of everyday-wear. Clothes that have a story to tell, a background they come from; those garments that posses a proper life accompanying our day-by-day path. Their essentiality has been dignified and then treated as an empty canvas. They became a playground to fantasize with by creating unexpected scenarios. It’s a visual archive meant to give nobilty and careness to those items destined never to be truly seen. It shows the importance they have for each of us, the role they play as almost real life-partners. It’s an homage to those clothes we wear since we were born. To our so-called second skin” 01 pair of black shoe my dad gave me seven years ago, 02 blue jeans hugging, 03 and 04 a dusty black tailored jacket, 05 a chair made of belts, 06 a jeans jacket my brother used to dress me with, 07 a blu scarf, 08 and 09 beltshape a 10 black tailored suit, 11 seven tshirts, 12 stiletto shoe and paper, 13 used shirt, 14 white flip flop.
