“I buy old original movie posters in the same way some people buy art. One of my most prized possessions is the lurid Japanese poster for Gummo, which is hung in my hallway. When I was in Amsterdam last month, I came across this really small but well stocked poster shop called Cine Qua Non near Waterlooplein. I bought a bunch of things for me and for friends: lobby cards for My Own Private Idaho and Querelle; the French cinema release poster for Larry Clark’s Kids that’s taller than me. I only found this one on their website after I left, because they have thousands of things in storage. Christiane F. is such a dismal movie but I’ve loved this artwork for it, and the Raf Simons collection inspired by it, for such a long time. I want to own the Japanese one-sheet one day, which is more graphic and provocative but beautifully designed. I don’t even know if this one will go on my wall, but sometimes it’s nice just to know that you have things.”

Rachel Zegler! Based, brave legend of the game at 24. Judging by her balcony appearance, excellent in ‘Evita’. I met her in rehearsals and we spoke about that very show, as well as what it’s like to weather a storm, hold onto your morals, and come out bigger and stronger.
