When @sonamkapoor ‘s team reached out, it felt like a natural fit: ALTROVE’s aesthetic meeting her bold, eclectic style. The home was a well-planned 800+ sq ft space with open living and dining, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. By the time we joined, civil work was done and major selections like furniture, wallpaper, and lighting were made, though nothing had been installed. It was the perfect styling canvas. Our role was to add the final layer, the soul, through textiles, rugs, curtains, bedding, art, and decor. Much of it was inspired by the bold, beautiful wallpapers Sonam had handpicked in London, so uniquely her. If you’ve seen her homes in London or Mumbai, you know Sonam is a true maximalist and a collector of craft. Her brief was clear: more is more, but it has to feel cohesive. She has a sharp eye, a love for storytelling through interiors, and a talent for mixing vintage with new, layering textures and patterns, and making every corner personal. This project was a fun shift from ALTROVE’s usual clean, minimal palette, where every piece had to hold both character and purpose. No clutter, just thoughtful details. The highlight was a full day styling the home with Sonam. She was warm, funny, grounded, and clear in her creative vision. We chatted about our kids, swapped nanny stories, and connected like two moms at the park, all while pulling together a space that truly feels like her!
