This week marks one year since two devastating earthquakes hit Türkiye and Syria, killing over 50,000 and displacing millions. Last October I visited the worst affected regions in Türkiye with @SaveChildrenUK to see how they’re helping families rebuild their lives. Many people have lost everything – their loved ones, their homes and all their belongings, and yet they showed so much hope & resilience. One in three children in Türkiye are still living in temporary shelters but @SaveChildrenUK are continuing to support families across the region by providing things like shower facilities, mental health aid, hygiene kits, winter supplies & educational materials. As we all know there are multiple crises around the world right now, & it is truly overwhelming, but I cannot stress how immense the impact of these earthquakes have been on the thousands of people affected.
