Galeria Szczur invites you to the exhibition “Play”, presented as part of this year’s Warsaw Gallery Weekend. “Play” explores play as a fundamental mode of being – comic and anarchic, subversive and joyful. The exhibition reflects on the absurd embedded in everyday life, the fluid relations between objects, and the continuous flow and exchange of energy. It creates a space where art becomes an experiment, and play – a tool for discovering new forms of existence. Producer: Grzegorz Śliwiński Curator: Kamil Mizgala Artists: Jan Baszak, Stan Buglass, Daniel Dąbrowski, Linda Lach, Brad Nath, Kuba Stępień, Agnieszka Topolska, Klara Woźniak, Andrzej Staniek 19–28 September 2025 Inwestycja “Na Okrzei” (Matexi), ul. LETZTRAUM by @janbaszak at @ckzamek, curated by @jagnadomzalska & @kamilmizgala, is open until July 27th. The sun falls on tearful muzzles. The gazing, glazed-over eyes have found peace. These are not new beings, but old forms carrying the shadows of species. Memories of hooves, fur, tails. They are trying to understand more and more. 📸 @filippreis
ᴇɴ The exhibition explores the ways in which animal corporeality is drawn into the cycle of industrial production, care, and exchange, becoming a commodity, a service, and also waste. The space reveals hidden relationships between affect, biological function, and economics, where milk without a mother and breath without a body become symbols of unclaimed care and forced productivity. The exhibition documents the abject traces of industrial reproduction and speculates on the possibilities of creating new affective compositions—outside the system that has long since taken over bodies. osoby artystyczne / artists: Agnieszka Grodzińska @anezka_grodzinska Marek Wodzisławski @marek_wodzislawski Klara Woźniak @klara.wozniak Weronika Zalewska @werozalewska zespół kuratorski / curatorial team: Jagna Domżalska, Kamil Mizgala Galeria Promocyjna @promocyjna Rynek Starego Miasta 2, Warszawa
TWO-HEADED GOAT BY JAN BASZAK Part of the solo exhibition «Letztraum». «For those who are simultaneously asleep and awake, between species, between the complete and the incomplete. A celebration of the non-normative and the unfinished. It evokes fragmentary subjectivities. It is an attempt to attain shared consolation. A reminder of the possibilities of a new, non-binary existence. These are not new beings, but old forms carrying the shadows of species. Memories of hooves, fur, tails. They are trying to understand more and more». It uses the dead to explore the real. It reaches for the deadness of bodies as a specific state that proves visually appealing, allowing a shift from aesthetic reflection to ontological reflection. Dead bodies cause the boundary between culture and nature to disappear, becoming an integral part of the world-making process. The remains become an entity — a kind of meta-community, which, in the eco-nekro view, has the power of making itself.” 🤳🏻 @adam_gut
