New York Life Gallery and C☆NDY magazine are pleased to present “Pieces of Candy: 10 Artists Celebrate Candy Darling,” an exhibition of new works commissioned by Luis Venegas, Editor in Chief of C☆NDY TRANSVERSAL, in celebration of the publication’s 15th anniversary issue. The exhibition is curated by Ethan James Green and Luis Venegas, and the artists include Drake Carr, Connie Fleming, Jimmy Paul, Lorena Prain, Kabuki Starshine, Sunny Suits, Billy Sullivan, TABBOO!, Elliot Vera, and Jimmy Wright. Please join us for the opening reception on Friday, May 9, from 7-9pm. The exhibition will be on view May 9-31, 2025. Created in 2009, C☆NDY is the first and only magazine to celebrate the style of the transversal community. The independent, annual, limited-edition magazine centers queer communities and their indelible impacts on culture. Founded by Ethan James Green in 2022, New York Life Gallery’s program centers on collaborative curations with artists across all mediums.
