‘I have spent many days stringing and unstringing my instrument, while the song I come to sing remains unsung‘ The above quote from Rabindranath Tagore’s poem Gitanjali (1910) has always been a line I have returned to when thinking about opening an exhibition at my home, Fonthill Pottery. I can’t express how enriching and rewarding the past four weeks have been. I’ve had the fortune to meet students, artists, gallerists, architects, designers, collectors, historians, neighbours, writers, members of the public, curators and directors of museums. I feel both honoured and humbled to have received your support, reception and warmth. The real credit goes to the incredibly talented artists, gallerists, co-curators @trulsblaasmo & @lofteson , graphic designer @cashandcarrystudio , photographer @genevievelutkin and logistical wizard @lisavigoni @harminderjudge @thesundaypainter @lubnachowdhary @jhavericontemporary @ranabegumstudio @katemacgarry @vipeksha @tristanhoare @tanya_ling @netrabile @andrewrafaczgallery In parallel, to the phenomenal design team who collaborated with me on my home - @sicardi , @madebygregcox & @edwards_wilson From the bottom of my heart thank you for entrusting your works, kindness, incredible talent and allowing me to realise a vision I’ve had for over a decade. And a thank you to @two_poems and @roseuniacke , always so kindly available to support with styling objects. Also, a very big thank you to the @friezeofficial, @charleneprempeh @aryanak & Dina Andrzhechyk. And to the @ruinart team, @fabienvallerian & @tashwellesley for co-hosting two events with delicious catering by @smokeandlime & @rosechalalai Finally, a huge thank you for the unwavering support from the press handled by @mattvines and @neen.__ A snippet of exposure that all the above artists, designers and curators no doubt deserve. This was a verse of a song I’m sure will take a lifetime to sing. I look forward to singing more with you in 2025. With love, Rajan Image 1: From @wallpapermag link in bio
