can’t believe it’s already May.. . little bit of a recap from jan. + some insights from spending two weeks alone . this trip was all on a thought to go visit @prestacoffee in person…(love u presta) after a quick brainstorm session on everyone’s favorite gpt, 3 weeks later I was on the road . . lots of firsts for me this trip. first time ever going camping, my first time on the road alone. (I met a YouTuber slide 2!!) I learned to trust myself in a way I never have before, and gained so much confidence in myself. if you get the chance to do anything remotely similar to this. Please go. 2024, the longest, short year I’ve ever experienced.. . . I’ve heard from so many different people that this was one of their most challenging and testing years for them, and I definitely share those same experiences, so please don’t feel alone. . So many firsts for me this year. My first concert ever. My first time moving away from home and my third year as a professional wedding photographer. So thankful for everything I get to do in this life. . So excited for what I’ll get to share with you guys next. I’m so happy you’re here with me to enjoy this ride, and excited for all of the things we’re going to be able to do in the new year. . I love you. I hope you’re doing well. just because it’s harder for you doesn’t mean you should give up. You’ve got this. Keep going.

I went to Canada.. . A little bit ago, I got the chance to spend some time with family (albeit it was 40+ hours in a car together) My first time out of the country in 10+ years, my first time going to Canada, and my first “big” trip. I didn’t know much going into it…we’re going to Canada, maybe spend some time with family etc.. . Instead, we got to visit freaking Banff National Park & Jasper National Park. The former has literally been a lifelong goal for me to visit. (THEY HAVE FLIPPIN COLORFUL SKIES WTFF) . First time camping out underneath the stars since I was literally a toddler, and amazingly, the sun didn’t set until as late as 11pm. . I don’t have enough words for how beautiful Canada was, of course the views were immaculate. The people were incredibly kind, and genuinely, I’ve never been to a place that felt more like home. . Driving back funnily enough, we came back to Texas the same time as Hurricane Beryl, so that was exciting.. . I hope you’ve been well. Thanks for reading this. . funny side note. All of these pictures are off my iPhone. The one vacation I didn’t bring my camera of course, the views are breathtaking. . i love u. more than u know.

Happy Valentine’s Day y’all! Thank you to Joseph & René for allowing me to spend some time with you both..y’all are amazing. Thank you to all of the couples that trust me to photograph them at their best and at their most vulnerable. . I’m so incredibly thankful that photography is my now full-time job. Beginning my second year in photography, I know there’s an incredibly long journey ahead. I’ve learned through this past year, that after doing photography for 10 years (officially now!! Since 7th grade) that I have so many things that I have to learn about the intricacies of weddings & life itself, that will take me at least another decade to learn. . 24 today.. A little peak into 2023..which just flew by for me, first full year as a wedding photographer (thank you to all my new client/friends thankful for you for giving me a living), first year trying to do freelance photo.. last year in coffee (probably) . Kenzie! . . . This shoot with Kenzie was one of my first ever editorial/wedding styled shoots, and I don’t have any words for how amazing of an experience this was for me. This shoot was at the beautiful @thewhitesparrow venue, first time ever shooting in a barn setting with beautiful natural light pouring into the space, and the beautiful contrasting wood. To give some context, I coaxed my amazing partner ( @thvnhtuyen) to drive the four hours with me to Fort Worth for this. (thanks bebe hehe) ☺️ Kenzie was so amazing in front of the camera, incredibly comfortable and easy to work with. I really believe we captured her fun, and chic personality in these photos. Payton & Scott! . . . i attended my first ever wedding and styled shoot last week, and oh my goodness it was an experience. I can’t tell you the last time I shot an event; but it reignited a fire that was slowly dying. . . . I haven’t really found the words to articulate myself but there’s a certain feeling I have when photographing that’s surprisingly effortless and incredibly rewarding. . More from this shoot and the wedding to come but, thank you to everyone who I’ve been introduced to recently. I really hope to work with you more often. Thank you so much for being so kind to me.

I’m feelin’ 22!!!! Or something Taylor said.. . . . although this is 6 days late it’s okay. Happy belated birthday to me?? 2021 has taught me a lot of things, and brought me a lot of firsts to my life.. . my first stream on twitch.. . my first coffee shop experience . my first wedding experience thanks to @holllynoelle .
