Introducing… @jane_mcfarland’s dream ring. Inspired by the graphic, geometric forms of the Giant’s Causeway and the folklore that surrounds it, Jane wanted a design that felt timeless, elemental, and deeply her own - a subtle tribute to place, identity, and origin. The finished ring is a modern talisman: bold, angular, and grounded in story. Set in 18ct yellow gold and detailed with round and baguette cut diamonds, it draws on the raw geometry of the Irish coastline while nodding to our Art Deco influences. Soon after we completed the ring, Jane welcomed her daughter. Though not originally conceived as a piece about motherhood, it’s since taken on new meaning - becoming a quiet marker of identity at a transformative moment in life. 4 years since our wild, windy, miniature wedding. There were quarantines, ‘traffic light’ travel restrictions and limited group gatherings, but we got there in the end, complete with a Mustang (hired on the day) and a Vivienne Westwood dress (bought at a sample sale during my lunch break). The most joyful staycation @thenewtinsomerset in our last few days as a 3 💔 - the gardens, water features, deer park, cows and sheep provide 24/7 child entertainment - proceed with caution re getting into a buggy to zip around the grounds: there will be a 20 minute meltdown every time you try to extract said child - the divine spa is actually kid-friendly at specific hours, but there’s another pool open to families all day and it’s a perfect 30 degrees. Cue another meltdown trying to leave. - putting @hunzag’s one-size-fits-all theory to the test and pleased to say, it’s legit #oneweektogo - @ntstourhead (a 20 min drive) is definitely worth a visit if in the area; as is Bruton ( @oldpharmacybruton, @osiprestaurant, @atthechapel et al), Tisbury (go to @messumswest if you’ve had your fill of Hauser and Wirth) and @higher_farm which we didnt visit this time, but it’s on the list for wild swimming and pizza this summer. - it’s picturesque enough to fill a 20-image carousel, but you still won’t have a decent family photo 👍🏻 - 2-year olds are terrifying

(PS she has a v good Substack, WEARSTLERWORLD). ‘There’s nothing better than designing a hotel that so many people are going to come and experience and enjoy.
