🔬 @dzofilm X-Tract 18-28mm T8 FF Probe Zooms ✨ The new DZOFilm X-Tract Probe Zoom lenses have arrived and in each variety: the new 360° version which has periscopic view, 0° direct view and 90° right-angle view. We are among the first in NYC to receive all three versions and they are ready for your next production! These lenses are an evolution to other probes in the market, especially due to the ROTATING RING which allows you to basically barrel roll the entire lens with great control. Each lens has an extremely close manual focus of 0.24” and is suited for large depth of field shots at its T8 max aperture. Optically the lenses are perfectly parfocal allowing you to do DOLLY ZOOMS at the macro level, even underwater if needed. Although the zoom is technically very wide for FF, the lenses have ±2% distortion control! This is crucial for a wide angle zoom as many FF zooms suffer from distortion differences through the range. Creep zooms at the probe level is now possible! Each lens comes with different O-Rings which allow you position lens supports anywhere in the system. The wait is over, the Bolex H16 EBM S16 Film camera from @ofgcustoms is here! 😏 Finally the Bolex on steroids comes outfitted with fully internalized power through the micro gold mount plate, 3-Pin R/S port, R/S Rosette Handle, HD IVS Tap with SDI port, and 2-Pin Power Ports on the rear and operator side. OFG Customs also upgraded the 15mm LWS brackets to feature a smaller, lighter setup and improved thumb screws for quicker adjustments and a tighter lock. Additionally, the custom battery plates now include integrated crystal sync for 23.98, 24, and 25 fps — ideal for syncing to playback during music or vocal shoots. This may be the smallest and lightest Super 16mm film camera available with crystal sync and a modern video tap — to be used with a number of different setups due to its size. Paired with the custom 15mm LWS rod support, it easily accommodates matte boxes, follow focus systems, and accessories. We have a number of prime and zoom options for S16. ⬆️ REHOUSED LOMO SQUARE FRONT 2x ANA ⬆️ Improved close focus, clip-on matte box friendly, standard focus/iris gears is the reason why our rehoused LOMO Square Front lenses are the top of the line mechanically in vintage anamorphics. We recently received these new rehoused lenses which are modern mechanically, but retain their classic characteristics - making them reliable for contemporary filmmaking. These lenses are ideal for creating a nostalgic and artistic look on modern productions. Lenses include the 35mm faster version (T2.5) and 50mm, 75mm (T2.4) - both with a 114mm outer diameter which work amazing with clip-on matte boxes. FUJIFILM GFX 100 II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera 📷 camera kit built for filmmakers with PL and LPL mounts. Coming in at a staggering 43.8mm x 25mm sensor size in 17:9 4K UHD - the GFX 100 II is an evolution in beyond full frame format. Along with a stellar OLED EVF, the camera has the ability to record uncompressed 12-bit externally to an Atomos Ninja Ultra monitor, shoot 60 fps in 4K and even desqueeze 8K Anamorphic (albeit with a 1.24x crop). Blackwing Tribes, Speedboosted Mamiyas, Kowa Rs, Mercury Anamorphics, Leica Rs, Arles are some of the lenses that fully cover the GFX among most focal lengths. Although it is a medium format camera, it is as big as 65mm which does open the door for some non-65mm focal lengths to cover! Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K @blackmagicnewsofficial A Rehoused Lomo Square Front Anamorphic and @whitepoint_optics Rehoused Canon FD lens dress the new iteration of the Blackmagic Full Frame camera line, but this time finally in an ergonomic “box” shape style. A couple features include Open Gate 3:2 shooting (something even the SONY BURANO doesn’t have), robust aluminum body (improvement over pockets), the new addition of a new 5” external monitor (still backordered 😭), dual 12G SDI port, Ethernet connectivity, and 13 Stops of Dynamic Range. For our kits, we have L-Mount bodies with the ability to switch from PL to EF easily. We went with MID49 Cages which allow lens adapter support rods in order to get rid of unwanted play in the mount. Cameras also come with the @mid49accessories side cage and A-Box, Core SWX Micro Gold Mount Plate or IndiPro Sony NPF to V-Mount. We also stock the @coreswx M-Series U98X batteries which can be natively used with the body and give you 1x USB-C Power Delivery & Charging and 1x 12V SMBUS D-Tap Accessory Port. 💥 DZOFILM ARLES FF/VV PRIMES💥 DZO’s first entry into the wide/fast aperture game (faster than T2) is astounding based on its price and availability. Yet it’s the set’s inexistant focus breathing and massive improvement on chromatic aberration - compared to Pictors/Vespids - that will set it apart from the rest. While not as clinical as Sigma High-Speed Primes, the organic look of the Arles coupled with the smooth focus fall-off make this set attractive to a number of video styles. Wide open @ T1.4 they do not fall apart sharpness wise as some other “affordable fast lenses.” Definitely worth having a focus puller / focus assist system shooting wide open as the falloff will be tricky to master on the Vista Vision format! Some people might call them baby Signature Primes and while they still have a long way to go to achieve the visual mastery of ARRI, this can hold up as a B-Cam option - maybe better if paired with a BM PYXIS 6K. Lenses are definitely the heaviest and most robust focals that DZOFILM has made and we would have to recommend using lens supports on smaller cameras. Focals range from 14mm to 180mm with a 95mm outer diameter and come in PL or EF Mount! New in shop! @atlaslensco Mercury Series 1.5x Anamorphics 😍 Our set of 36, 42, 54, 72, 95, 138 has begun taking shape. With large format coverage up to Panavision FF/DXL 40.96x21.6mm and an unbelievable compact size, these new Atlas Mercury series lenses are talk of the town! Although they are a 1.5x squeeze, the bokeh is enhanced to match closer with 2x anamorphics. To note, the big improvement is the sharpness wide open at T2.2, no need to stop down to 2.8/4 split to hit the sweet spot! What we think is the the main star of the Mercuries is the warm amber flares, very distinctive to the Atlas Orion saturated blue flares. The flares are easy to control and match across the set. For a closer evaluation, the 36mm focus falloff starts earlier from the center than the 42mm and 72mm. Chromatic aberration in the corners is also more prominent in the 36mm, less in the 42mm and almost non-existent in the 72mm. Focus breathing across all is subtle and controlled. As seen in our projector charts, the 36mm has extensive barrel distortion but as to be expected due how wide of a lens it is. The 42mm suffers from this less, but the 72mm is extremely controlled when it comes to distortion. We are awaiting the arrival of the 54mm and 95mm which we believe will perform similar to the 72mm in terms of CA, falloff and distortion. Along with the 14-Blade Iris, lightweight robust construction, we feel that Atlas have really improved this line compared to the Orions, but we do recommend testing the entire set and seeing what focals match your needs! 36mm, 42mm, 72mm available now, 54mm, 95mm, 138mm focals available by summer 2024.
