The Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 91. An industry titan, the designer dressed celebrities including Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett and Renée Zellweger. "Mr Giorgio Armani is synonymous with classic elegance," Zellweger said. "His vision has long shaped the timeless gold standard, as has his generosity of spirit and friendship." The Armani Group has announced the passing of its CEO and founder Giorgio Armani today. Known for his relaxed, deconstructed tailoring as epitomised by Patrick Bateman's suits in cult classic American Psycho, as well as the many handcrafted, haute couture gowns he designed for the Academy Awards, the designer's creations have left an indelible mark on fashion. The model-activist-actor-designer @adwoaaboah is preparing to step back into the spotlight as founder of The Veil, a meticulously crafted collection of handbags created in collaboration with her long-time friend Georgie Wright. Just don’t expect to see her in the campaign. “We’ve been one billion per cent working hard to make sure this doesn’t feel like a celebrity-brand project,” she tells @funmifetto. “I’ve seen when someone has ‘star power’ and everything’s in their favour and the product still doesn’t sell. Art Partner is currently accepting submissions for its seventh annual Earth Partner Prize contest, which invites young artists between the ages of 14 and 30 to respond to the climate crisis. Entries are welcome in any medium until 10 October, when they will be reviewed by a global panel of judges, including Orsola de Castro, the co-founder of Fashion Revolution, and artistic director of the Serpentine Hans Ulrich Obrist.
