Still pinching myself - I finally opened @hirayapilates 🌱 The last 4-5 months have been one hella of a ride and doing it as a one man team has made it lonely sometimes. A friend recently told me, “remember, you’re always supported” 🥹 so seeing every one of you come out to celebrate with me meant so much and made this night so special! Definitely a core memory 🤍 Huge gratitude to our sponsors for making our launch party the best party I could ever ask for! 🥂 From bringing great music and vibes by DJ @triciasalcedo - definitely the heart of our party - to amazing bubbly wines from @tryvinestreet that everyone loved! @hirayapilates IS FINALLY HERE! 🥹 First clip was genuinely the moment when everything sunk in as I was staring at my studio 😭 3 years ago, I was quite lost and was just feeling extremely overwhelmed with life. 2022 was sort of my “learn about myself” era. It was also the same time that I decided to try reformer Pilates and immediately fell in love with it! Never in my wildest dreams that 3 years later, I would take the “in my pilates era” too seriously that I would have my own studio! And the best part? Sharing my founder journey online has led me to a community of small business owners too! Steve Jobs was right when he said, “you can’t connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backwards, so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in the future.” Poured my heart & mind into creating @hirayapilates and I hope it translates as you step inside. From museums to studio, we reinterpret five iconic muses portrayed by Filipino master painters: Félix Resurrección Hidalgo’s impressionistic La Inocencia, Amorsolo’s Fruit Gatherer, BenCab’s cubist Sabel, Juan Luna’s The Parisian, and Ang Kiukok’s evocative nude study. These figures, drawn from the annals of Philippine art, have left a lasting imprint on the Filipino visual psyche and cultural identity.
