Built in 1983, this rarely seen private home by Luis Barragan, was one of the architects last works and is still occupied by the original owner who lives with the original furniture designed by Barragan. It was a privilege to be some of the very few people to tour the inside and the first since a fresh coat of yellow paint was applied just two weeks ago (first time in 40 years). • Thank you to @mauriciolobeira @generosovillarreal and @treceavoplano_tenplusthree for getting us inside this extraordinary home.

@marthastewart48 called me a few weeks back to discuss her partnership with @kohler and what we should do to announce her relationship as the first ever cast iron ambassador. • Knowing that Kohler invented the bath tub by placing feet on a cast iron horse trough, it was easy to conclude that we had to shoot Martha in a hay filled tub in her stables surrounded by her herd of enormous, black Friesian horses. • And that’s exactly what we did.

This house is a tour de force of decorating, drama, and art, but what makes the story deeply moving are the heartfelt words @richiejacksongaydad has written for AD, such as: “Entering our house is entering Jordan’s world. Or rather, the world as he wishes it to be: passionate and relentlessly encouraging.” Or this: “Our new home is the physical manifestation of Jordan’s full-throttle freedom, bravery, artistry, creativity, and abundant love.” Swoon. I also love shopping with them because they support artists and makers from every corner of the world. Below are the carefully chosen pieces we decided on for the perfect dinner party at home. And what I love about these pieces is that they work for a casual West Texas inspired BBQ lunch or for a fancier more tailoerd dinner party. • Based in Mexico City, @perlavaltierra hand-made ceramics transport you back in time, where every piece connects the maker and the user. Valtierra’s team of 20 artisans use the teachings of philosopher Soetsu Yanagui to create hand-thrown ceramics in Bajío, Mexico. • @nasonmoretti has been uplifting interiors with distinctive glassware since 1923. It’s founded by five brothers who blend Murano mastery with innovative mixing and cold-cutting techniques. The studio’s colour creation method is still a well-kept secret, and is the only one in the world producing 22 green, 8 blue shades and this incredible amber yellow that flows from within. • Family-run @alain_saint_joanis has hand forged its cutlery in France since 1876. This collection is handcrafted from wood and silver-plate, and every piece is manually assembled and polished by skilled artisans at the workshop in La Monnerie, France. • At @artesaniasdelatlantico some of the finest and most committed Colombian artisans collaborate on this textural tableware, crafted from native palm and stromanthe fibers. Evocative of faraway vacations, designs of astounding detail are shaped by experienced hands and the annals of history—woven and dyed using traditional techniques passed down over centuries. • Sitting at the crossroads of tradition and innovation, @borgodelletovaglie fine table linens represent the unhurried yet considered pace of life under the Italian sun. Each piece is made to order, handcrafted in the label’s Bologna workshop.
