My house 😭 I bought this house almost 2 years ago. I lived in it for a year with basically no furniture except a couch that was too big for the living room, a bed, and a Yeti cooler for a dining room table. Then I went on tour and I moved out as we started the renovations. Addison ( @by_byrd ) has spent the last year transforming this space into something that feels so timeless and cozy and it’s finally done! He is the brains of this project, and the boots on the ground, and everything in between. A master vintage furniture finder/curator and the best human in the world, I’m so lucky to have found you I literally can’t thank you enough. Now I’m in New York and in 3ish weeks I will be going home to unpack all of my boxes and live in this beauty. What a thing to look forward to. ♥️ (And thank you to @cobeyarner for these incredible photos!!)
i’ve been pouring my heart & soul into this project over the last year hoping to create something undeniably personal & novel for the client & myself. Eager to share the rest of the home in the next few weeks♥️

a few of the pieces I designed specifically for my latest project The hope for my dining table design was to create something substantial while still leaving enough room to pass through to each area. Giving each chair its own pocket / angling the chairs towards one another felt intimate & I wanted to encourage a more communal / engaging dining experience with the design itself. My cabinet designs for the living room were initially born from the clients need for storage but I also wanted to make this side of the room feel like one fluid & well connected area. It’s so common in historical Los Angeles homes that the primary living space is quite long & narrow & I wanted to compliment that without crowding or confusing the living space. The studio shelving was born from the clients need to display their many personal treasures while also having a substantial area to work & create from. Wrapping the room felt necessary & the red trim was just for fun:) Sometimes railing designs can be quite aggressive & dated so the main goal was to update this detail so that it felt like it could’ve always been there. My spinning mirror design was sort of a way to make an area of the room that wasn’t functional for the client as functional as possible. The painted backing calls to the ceiling mural above the bed & the spinning feature allows for the mirror to be functional or just stand on its own as a flattering background detail. all these pieces wouldn’t have been born without @mambo_____jambo @dewintermetalworks @morgansteinmann
more moody film of @lizzymcalpine home designed by me shot by @cobeyarner truly the most special experience getting to work on this home over the last year ♥️🪡
