For Wishbone, or “Conan’s Big Adventure” to his friends, he sets sail on open water, catching songs like birds in flight, until the moon pulls back the tides and bares a sea of bluebonnets on which to sail home. And yes, he is crying while looking at said bluebonnets. “For a lot of my life, I’ve always thought that I had to be something greater than what I am to make people happy. But with this album, I just got rid of that thought, and looked at myself and thought, ‘What I am is all I’ve ever been.
