In India, physical closeness between men is often just friendship. We grew with it. This doesn’t feel strange, it feels familiar. It becomes habitual, comforting, a kind of muscle memory. We traveled to Rajasthan in April to make these images and tell our own stories. We didn’t conform to fashion narratives about brown bodies from the outside. Instead, we made space for what we know deeply: how brown boys and men hold themselves, how they relate, how they move through the world.
