WHEN YOUR CLIENT HAS BLACK BOX DYE & says, “Give me Cherry Cola Hair Please.” 💅 Part 1 This is @makeupbyloveandrea and can you believe it’s been over a year and a half since she paid $1300 and ALL her hair broke off. We sent her @k18hair to repair and prep. 2 weeks later we saved her hair! Since then she’s used K18 consistently & we got her on @calecimprofessional for hair growth! She even let me do my first official Keratin Strand Extensions on her by @greatlengthsusa ✨🥹 Her hair grew so much. She’s extension free at the moment and it’s so healthy even though YES she dyed it black. But a girls allowed to change her mind isn’t she?! Haha. She wants Cherry Red hair and brought her boo Angel to get matching hair! We prepped her and Angel with all K18 of course. Started with Chelator + Mist & Mask for repair 🧬 and whoa they have a lot of hair these two! I lightened with @wellahairusa Wellaplex 9 and 20 volume. Insulated in @framar foils of course. This client said we could do anything we wanted to her hair as long as we kept it long. One month ago today we came together and saved @sillysteph01 from a DIY bleach gone wrong where all of her hair broke off. Steph had never been on a plane and it was her dream to come to California. I think in my almost 30 years as a hairstylist this was my favorite transformation SO FAR 😉 I’ve gotten so many questions and DM’s about this. So here’s some FAQ’s. Why Steph? I think her vulnerability in her video was powerful and touched us. There’s also so much finger pointing and judgement sometimes on social. We need more empathy. Who’s going to take care of her hair now? Not only did @bellamihairpro get her flights and hotel but they got her a salon in Kentucky to take care of her extensions. Also @k18hair sent her more products for her color along with Bellami for extensions. I’ve kept in contact with Steph and she’s doing amazing 🥹 Why not help someone with alopecia or a non self inflicted hair disaster? Personally I did do a transformation last week for free of a young mom who henna box dye her hair from postpartum and is a burn survivor. It was amazing and her video is up. Also connected with a young woman in the UK with alopecia and am going to custom create a wig for her wedding. I’m trying to fly there to fine tune in person. Stay tuned. Was I afraid? Did we slay this split personality checkerboard hair with a twist ✨? This client had severe breakage on her blonde side and I needed to do a color correction on the back left quadrant to remove some black box dye so this was a doozy, but also a lot of fun! Alaura said you can do anything fun that you want to my hair, as long as you do a split dye blonde and black! So we decided to do a checkerboard with a pop of lilac in the bangs and a little calico on the right side.
