I remember visiting Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum and seeing a life size replica of “ The Bedroom “, scaled to reflect the proportions in the painting. The objects in the painting were disproportionate, so the bed was 5 times my height and the chair was up to my ankle, the wash basin the size of my head. Looking at these photos, it reminds me of that moment, enjoying the different perspectives angle, lighting, and color can give. As an oil enthusiast, there’s a corner in @absa.uae I’ve been waiting to experience. An altar of glass dispensers, filled with oils that predate even the most traditional African hair rituals. After a quick chat, my stylist picked the perfect blend customized to my hair needs. After applying the oil, she massaged my scalp in slow circles boosting blood flow, drenching each strand with moisture. The blend softened my hair, making it easier to detangle, reducing breakage while also strengthening the root. And just when I thought I owned the best red-light therapy device in the game, they bring out the final boss of LED therapy in the form of an octopus, sealing all that goodness in. I’ve always believed the root of healthy hair is the scalp. Once you start prioritizing scalp health, the rest will follow 🤞🏼

For some reason, designer clothing that’s been passed down for generations always seemed better to me than the new products in store. There was a time in fashion where classic pieces were timeless, and the quality you got back then could not compare to our generation, that’s why we’re always going through our parents closet to thrift these memorabilia. @somuchtroubledubai probably has the best selection of in store second hand designer wear I’ve seen in Dubai 🫶🏽
