Across half a century of light and shadow, @giorgioarmani has painted with fabric, sketching an eternal silhouette of elegance and leaving a gilded monument in the river of time. Within the world of Armani Privé, the precision of sculptural tailoring, the meticulous hand-sewn sequins, the natural drape of silk pleats… every detail is a tangible expression of his artisan spirit. For The Artisan Issue, we invited @jiajiahui_zhang and @yye_riqun to embody the craftsmanship unique to Armani Privé. With profound sadness, we mourn @giorgioarmani . The legend of the time, the era-transcending maestro of fashion design, passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving an immeasurable influence on the world of fashion. We revisits Giorgio Armani’s 50-year journey—from soft tailoring that redefined menswear in the 70s to a lifelong pursuit of purity and restraint. Giorgio Armani, shaped what timelessness elegance means—throughout his lifetime. Liu Wen ( @liuwenlw ), the epitome of contemporary Eastern beauty, embodies a serene yet effortless modernity that transcends time. She does not need to play a role—for she herself is the living muse of the East. We praise time, for it washes away the superficial and preserves what is true. And to Liu, time does not take away—it only renders her elegance more enduring. This is the very essence of Artisan: honed by years, perfected in details. In The Artisan Issue, Liu Wen transforms into a mysterious and graceful diva, dressed in CHANEL F/W collection, unveiling a dreamscape where past and present intertwine. 【Yesterday & Tomorrow】 The exaggerated silhouettes of classicism gently envelop the form, blending and clashing with the exquisite artistry of modern craftsmanship to create a uniquely romantic new aesthetic. Crimson velvet burns like fire — soft and silky, rewoven from the skin’s threads, reshaping the body’s core, and becoming a portrait of desire where the soul comes into focus. It is the boundless “me,” shattered and reassembled, breaking free from the cocoon. It is the “me” that never stops evolving, with no final answer. W China joins makeup artist Chiao Li Hsu ( @chiaolihsu ) in revealing a soul that is both raw and tender. 【ROUGE】 55 shades, like 55 journeys. Dame Pat McGrath ( @patmcgrathreal ), Creative Director of Louis Vuitton ( @louisvuitton ) La Beauté, once said: “Lipstick is a statement — with just one stroke, it defines individuality and reveals the power of women conquering the world.” Widely recognized as one of the greatest creative visionaries of our time, Pat McGrath has redefined the language of modern beauty — from groundbreaking runway looks to trendsetting campaigns. With this collection, Louis Vuitton transforms the everyday ritual of makeup into a performance art — fusing a century of craftsmanship, artistic vision, and the essence of femininity. Takeshi Kitano #北野武 , 78 this year. As an internationally renowned director, he is aregular guest at many major international film festivals. Most of his films are both directed and acted by himself. For him, there must be two selves in the mind: one fully immersed, and one observing from the side. Clearly a great master and international director, he is actually a playful and lovable person in private — fortunately, W captured this rare side of him. This time, W China invited director & actor Takeshi Kitano to shoot a cover story where he directs and acts himself for the first time. In this issue, The Directors’ Eyes Issue, we hope to see, through the eyes of director Takeshi Kitano, that self which holds both seriousness and humor. At the end of the shoot, the director looked like he had a great time. After seven years, director Jiang Wen (#姜文 ) returns to the cover of a fashion magazine. Known for his preference for directing and starring in his own films, this time W China invited him to do the same for a cover shoot—a first for him. From the movements to the visual language, everything was crafted by his own hand. This is not only a rare appearance, but an exceptionally rare collaboration. He seldom takes part in such shoots, and this one came to life only through mutual trust and creative resonance. With the release of this issue of The Directors’ Eyes, Jiang Wen turns a director’s gaze on himself, revealing a different kind of “Jiang Wen presence” in front of the camera. With a distinct attitude, he conveys his personal style and cinematic expression—while also becoming the first solo male cover star in W China’s history. “Black Mirror” and “beauty” don’t usually go together. But Haolu Wang made it happen. Season 7, Episode 3 of *Black Mirror*, “Hotel Reverie”, has been called the least *Black Mirror* episode of all—because it’s tender, poetic, and, surprisingly, beautiful. There are no prime ministers and pigs. No dystopian nightmares you can wrap up in a 3-minute recap. What moves us is something else: the way two actresses, across time and code, fall in love in a simulated world—and find something real. The episode was directed by Chinese filmmaker Haolu Wang( @ms.haoluwang ), who once quit her finance job to pursue film. In just six years, she became the first and only Asian director in *Black Mirror* history. This interview is in two parts: (1) The making of “Hotel Reverie” (2) Haolu Wang’s own journey—as a creator and a viewer Swipe through to read Part 1. More from our conversation with Haolu Wang coming soon Interview & Text: @skyesees Visual Design: Sisi Special Thanks: Lily Lee Stills courtesy of the interviewee #blackmirror #hotelreverie #director #emmacorrin #issarae
