Being a Gemini sun with an Aquarius moon—Monsieur Dior’s own sun sign—it felt as though our energies aligned,” shares the bride. “His favorite flower lily of the valley—which I had unknowingly chosen for my bouquet—further deepened this connection. Our first look took place separately from the wedding day itself, a moment carved out just for us. When David saw me in my dress, he immediately started tearing up. The oversized peony across the bodice was the first thing he noticed. For as long as I can remember, David has written me love notes - slipped into my work bag, tucked into a suitcase, hidden in a coat pocket, resurfacing years later when I’d forgotten they were there. @beccaxbloom ceremony dress was a custom Oscar de la Renta gown embroidered with laser-cut blooming peonies. “Peonies are considered the unofficial flower of China, where both my parents are from, and they filled the garden of my childhood home,” Becca explains. “Every year, it would bloom with peonies, and they became my favorite flower and a lasting symbol of family and home.” For shoes, she wore classic white Chanel heels that she purchased with her mother in Paris, a simple but sentimental choice. @dtcart.1 for his part, chose a Ralph Lauren Purple Label cream suit for the rehearsal dinner and Thom Browne for the wedding, choices that held special meaning for both the bride and groom. “Thom Browne and Ralph Lauren are iconic American houses, reflecting David’s journey to become a US citizen and serving as a celebration of that milestone,” Becca says. The shoes he wore—Zegna and Brunello Cucinelli—were chosen in honor of Italy. Nowhere like Iceland

People often ask me what’s been the most amazing place to shoot a Wedding? or where has been the most stunning place I’ve ever been? I always just say, “well, there’s so many amazing countries we’ve shot a Wedding in, hard to choose”. Well, it’s official!! Iceland is the most stunning, the most untouched, and the most inspiring place I’ve ever had the privilege to work in. A few weeks ago @joelserrato and I decided that our first official family of four vacation was going to be in Los Cabos, Mexico and when discussing hotels we knew that @fscabosanlucas and @fsloscabos were the perfect two Resorts for us. We swam for hours, ate the most incredible Mexican cuisine’s that grandma would highly approve, walked the gorgeous beaches, searched for shells, picked mangos and even snuck in one of the most incredible spa treatments I’ve ever had. Thank you to @cdolbee and @markinweho for taking incredible care of us and our two bambinos. Only problem is they ask for the yummy sushi from CAYAO on the daily. See you next year!!
