STUDIES AROUND 4’33’’ Two studies inspired by John Cage’s iconic “silent” piece 4’33”. ‘All Versions Of’ This piece layers all available recordings of 4’33” atop one another. What emerges when silence is multiplied? How does silence + silence + silence… sound? ‘The Loudness War’ This work addresses the ongoing trend of escalating audio levels in recorded music, a practice many critics argue diminishes sound quality and listener experience. Here, a recording of 4’33” undergoes over 50 compressions to meet contemporary industry sound standards. Available on Bandcamp

ウルソネート (Urusonēto) is out now on @erratum_musical Limited 12” vinyl 150 copies Urusonēto is a sound work based on the Ursonate, also known as Sonata in Urlauten or the "Sonate of primitive sounds", a phonetic poem composed between 1922 and 1932 by Kurt Schwitters.
