This September 12-13-14, SPATIAL unfolds across the iconic rooms of the @FUNKHAUS_BERLIN, transforming its legendary recording halls into instruments for deep, communal listening. Across three days, more than 60 pioneering artists will present original works through live performances, art installations, and continuous listening sessions—each crafted using the @4DSOUND system, a holographic sound instrument developed through a decade of artistic and technical research. To bring this vision to life, @MONOMSTUDIOS will install its largest-ever @4DSOUND system configurations throughout the halls of @FUNKHAUS_BERLIN. Each room—Saal 1, Saal 2, Shedhalle, MONOM Studio are reimagined as sonic instruments. The boundary between audience, space and artwork dissolves. As part of @BERLINARTWEEK’s featured selection, SPATIAL partners for the first time with @PASSAGE_ART to present ‘Polyphonic Views’, an art exhibition curated by @victor_auberjonois and @ko.biko, featuring works by over 30 artists. Movements that question beauty ideals and take action against discrimination based on appearance. Paradoxically, however, the numbers of cosmetic surgeries continue to rise. The market for hair transplants is also booming. More and more people are undergoing painful, expensive procedures that are becoming increasingly normalized. Hair loss is a natural, often uncontrollable process that affects an enormous number of people - whether due to age, stress, or illness. Nevertheless, it continues to be associated with negative connotations such as aging, loss, and deficiency, causing many affected individuals to feel self-conscious. Yet history shows: what was once considered a flaw - freckles, tooth gaps, vitiligo - can become a beauty mark. Hair loss also holds this potential.
