Healthy homemade granola 🥣 Calories per 1/4 cup ≈ 175 kcal INGREDIENTS - 3 cups rolled oats - 1 cup unroasted nuts, roughly chopped - 1 cup sunflower seeds - 1 cup pumpkin seeds - 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips - 1/2 cup coconut flakes - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 1 teaspoon cinnamon - 1/2 cup honey - 1/2 cup coconut oil - 1/2 cup peanut butter - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Method: 1. Preheat the oven to 160°C and line two baking trays with parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the chocolate chips and coconut flakes. 3. Spread the mixture evenly across the two trays. Bake for 20 minutes, then stir the granola and bake for an additional 10 minutes. 4. Remove the trays from the oven and let the granola cool completely. 5. Once cooled, mix in the chocolate chips and coconut flakes. For the extra granola flavor ideas, here are four creative ones including a Lebanese twist: 1. Lebanese Zaatar & Sumac Granola • Rolled oats, sesame seeds, chopped almonds, olive oil, honey, zaatar, sumac, and a pinch of sea salt. • Savory, tangy, and perfect as a topping for labneh or salads. 2. Pistachio & Rose Granola • Rolled oats, chopped pistachios, dried rose petals, honey, cardamom, and coconut flakes. • Fragrant, floral, and beautiful for serving with Greek yogurt. 3. Orange Blossom & Walnut Granola • Rolled oats, walnuts, orange blossom water, cinnamon, and dried apricots. • A Middle Eastern-inspired sweet with a citrusy aroma. 4. Dark Chocolate & Hazelnut Granola • Rolled oats, hazelnuts, cocoa powder, honey, and dark chocolate chunks. • Rich and indulgent for dessert-like breakfasts.
