His continuity, his down-to-earth nature and his staying power in remaining as an unlisted, independent company have always been a huge inspiration for me personally. Back in 1994, a relatively unknown Noel Gallagher popped into a Paul Smith shop and bought himself a suit to wear on the cover of Oasis’s debut album, Definitely Maybe. We all know what happened next… A year later, Oasis released their second album, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? and this year marks the 30th anniversary. In celebration of WTSMG’s anniversary, Paul Smith’s historic connection with Oasis and the incredible world tour they’re currently embarking on, we’ve released a special collection of product, available now. The six designers that form the Paul Smith’s Foundation residency in Smithfield, London are now over a year into the 18 month programme. Over the next few weeks, I wanted to highlight some of their great work, starting with @paulinedujancourt   I was lucky enough to see the making of some of Pauline’s AW25 collection which is an inspiring example of hand-making and effort, celebrating the everyday woman knitting for their loved ones. There is a brilliant video over on @PaulSmithsFoundation.   Pauline is set to show this coming London Fashion Week in September, we couldn’t be more proud, congratulations Pauline!
