The third edition of Mercedes‑Benz Bucharest Fashion Week takes place October 15–18, bringing together designers from Romania and across the region to present their Spring/Summer 2026 collections. Over four days, the program includes runway shows, talks, showroom displays, archive sales and curated gatherings, drawing professionals from all corners of the fashion ecosystem and creating real points of connection between vision and audience. Among its key moments, the Fashion Talent Award brings young designers into focus, with capsule collections presented in a dedicated show and evaluated by a jury of industry professionals. #SS26 #MBBFW

𝘝𝘖𝘓 𝘹 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘎𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪 SS26 takes shape through a close collaboration between VOL and Massimiliano Giornetti. Developed as part of the Council of Fashion Designers of Romania ( @cfdr.ro) initiative, the collection captures a shared aesthetic journey and will premiere this October at Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week. “I believe in chance encounters, governed by the force of stars. I'm a Scorpio, Bianca is a Cancer. We share a family: water. This collection revolves around water. It's, in fact, inspired by Helmut Newton's iconic swimming pool series. It has been conceived as precious swimsuits assemblages. Stratifications of minimal elements. An impeccable black and white aesthetic, softned by warm nutral hues of silk knitwear. This, for me, is the essence of our collaboration: the idea of ​​a shared aesthetic and a common sense of beauty. Created by designer Lasha Mdinaradze, GUDU is known for its striking silhouettes, architectural tailoring, and a vision of femininity that is both strong and sensual. We’re proud to announce that MEDEEA will present its Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Budapest Central European Fashion Week ( @bcefw), on September 6. This international showcase is part of the creative exchange between Bucharest Fashion Week and BCEFW – a cross-border partnership that brings together visionary designers from Romania and Hungary, strengthening regional connections through fashion, innovation and design. With a signature aesthetic that blends conceptual tailoring and bold femininity, MEDEEA is set to bring a fresh perspective to the Budapest runway.

Lado Bokuchava, a Georgian fashion designer recognized for his original and innovative design approach, has gained acclaim for his experimental creations that seamlessly fuse traditional elements with contemporary aesthetics. His work is distinguished by a profound artistic expression and a bold willingness to challenge the conventional boundaries within the fashion industry. Drawing inspiration from diverse movies or books, the designer infuses each collection with a distinct mood. Vibrant and diverse colors play a crucial role, striking a perfect equilibrium between elegance and tranquility. Lado Bokuchava excels in synthesizing delicateness with bold shapes, resulting in looks that are simultaneously luxurious and edgy, allowing individuals to express their uniqueness unabashedly. #MBBFW #SS26

Clothes made for those who wear the raw, the real, the imperfect like a second skin — @rafaelapestritu makes its main stage debut at Mercedes‑Benz Bucharest Fashion Week, showcasing the SS26 collection. @rafaelapestritu is a brand based between Bucharest and London. Shaped by memory, subculture, and the raw poetry of imperfection. Distressed mesh clings like memory, trompe-l’œil prints and fragments of past garments are reworked into sensual, undone silhouettes. Each collection includes a mix of ready-to-wear and one-of-a-kind pieces. The brand merges artisanal techniques with a rebellious DIY edge, merging fragmented folklor with digital decay—where femininity becomes armor, and beauty lives in what’s broken, reimagined, and reborn.

From their apartments, young designers have shared glimpses of their creative process — deconstructing secondhand garments and rebuilding them into capsule collections for the Fashion Talent Award. Each piece is upcycled, made at home, from scratch, using materials sourced through @auchanromania’s ‘O Nouă Viață’ campaign — our sustainability partner in this journey. Coming this fall at #MBBFW.
