LOOK 2 Two layered bias cut satin silk dress with Nü Shu symbols saying „Ban Bian Tian“ translated to „Half of the sky“. I came across Nü Shu, a hidden female only language from Hunan, China, when I was researching for my dissertation on feminist chinese artists. Nü Shu is a language that was created and used only by women, because they didnt have access to education. Prepping 15m of white ultrasuede and hand paiting the material with chinese ink, using a hand brush. My goal was to change the material to make it behave and look like ink painted paper. Main textile of my collection 🤍
First drapes of looks 3 and 5 from my graduate collection, working with ultrasuede, imitating paper more process pics coming @bafcsm @1granary
