Are you gearing up for the coming trekking season? Maybe you’re taking part in your first Fjällräven Classic this year. Either way, there’s no better time than the present to plan out your packing strategy. At the start of every Fjällräven Classic is a scale where participants can weigh their backpacks. Having been at Fjällräven about a decade, Global Events Manager Carl Hård af Segerstad (call him ‘Calle’) has taken part in many of these treks, and seen his fair share of wide eyes as participants take in the weight of their backpacks for the first time. Get started with Calle’s own pack list, which has been honed over decades. In it, you’ll find his recommendations for gear that isn’t as light, but does the same job with sturdier materials and constructions. There’s a lot of thought that goes into such a list, so for the full breakdown and to hear Calle’s reasoning, check out the full guide in the link in bio. We recently unveiled our new trekking and mountaineering shells featuring the latest GORE-TEX membranes made without intentionally added PFAS. But did you know that Fjällräven and Gore actually go way back? Our CEO, Martin, shares a little insight into our shared heritage in this video. #FjallravenxGORETEX

‘This is my favourite daypack for day hikes and shorter adventures around Stockholm. It's the perfect size for my climbing shoes, water bottle and an extra jacket. After a day of climbing, it's nice to have something lightweight with ventilated shoulder straps. The smaller zipped pockets and laptop compartment are also really handy.’ Gry, Stockholm Find your perfect daypack for work, rest and play through the link in bio #Fjallraven

This season sees the long-awaited renewed partnership between Fjällräven and the GORE-TEX Brand. More than just a comeback, this is a next-generation collaboration focused firmly on the future. Together, Fjällräven and Gore are creating hardshells that are more durable, more functional, and more Fjällräven than ever. At the heart of this renewed partnership is shared progress. Gore’s new ePE membrane and DWR, both made without intentionally added PFAS, align with Fjällräven’s long-standing commitment to responsible and durable design. The result is long-lasting shell products that are high-performance and lower impact. This collaboration offers outstanding waterproof protection with the GORE-TEX GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY® promise, while staying firmly aligned with Fjällräven’s commitment to responsible performance. It’s a milestone in a long journey of responsible innovation. #FjallravenxGORETEX

‘As a mum at home and a Leadership Team Coordinator at Fjällräven, I am on my feet all day long. Whether cycling to work or out and about at weekends, I can fit all my essentials in my High Coast Crossbody. It fits my keys, wallet, sunglasses, even a bottle of water, and it's water resistant and super lightweight so just stays out of the way until I need it.’ Mimmi, Stockholm Find your perfect daypack for work, rest and play through the link in bio. #Fjallraven

At the heart of Fjällräven lies a simple but powerful idea: to inspire and encourage people to discover outdoor life. Trekking has always been central to that mission, with the Keb family representing the pinnacle of technical trekking gear. Therefore, the Fall/Winter 2025 Keb collection provides the perfect opportunity to present Fjällräven’s renewed partnership with the GORE-TEX Brand, marking a major step forward in performance shell garments. Featuring the latest GORE-TEX ePE membrane and PFAS-free DWR, the collaboration offers outstanding waterproof protection with the promise GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY®, while staying firmly aligned with Fjällräven’s commitment to responsible performance. What truly sets Keb apart, however, is its embodiment of Fjällräven’s long-term perspective. Every detail from trim choices to repairable construction is designed with durability in mind. These are garments made to be used, repaired and relied upon for years, even decades. The Keb range is not only a technical solution for demanding treks, but a reflection of Fjällräven and Gore’s belief that durability is integral to sustainability. #FjallravenxGORETEX

In Sweden, there’s this thing called ‘Allemansrätten’, or ‘Right of Public Access’, which gives everyone the freedom to roam in nature. That privilege is what Fjällräven was born out of. Allemansrätten is also the foundation of our deep respect for nature, making sustainability and CSR our guiding principles. In fact, we like to say we’re on a special kind of ‘trek’ with sustainability and CSR. One that’s ongoing and has no finish line – only checkpoints along the trail. The locations of these checkpoints change, and new ones are always being added, but we’ve been able to map them out in our 2024 sustainability and CSR summary. Check them out with the link in bio. #Fjallraven

The vastness of Sweden’s far north makes Fjällräven Classic Sweden special amongst our seven treks. While there are certainly other trekkers and event volunteers on the trail all along the route, there’s more than enough space to make you feel like you’ve got the rugged landscape all to yourself. You can see what we mean in this highlights video - plenty of socialising among this year’s participants but also many moments of solitude with only the sounds of nature to occupy trekkers’ thoughts.
