"It is the hardest thing to do, to figure out how to be alive and how to be loved. That is so challenging, and I am still a student." With her new album "Girl Violence" (out Sept. 12), @kingprincess69 turns the chaos of queer love and friendship into an anthem for her community. In October, Straus will kick off a tour that will take her across the U.S. and to Europe. “ I'm beyond excited. Italy’s fashion king is dead. Giorgio Armani, an icon of the late 20th century and a pioneer of the celebrity-fashion juggernaut, has died in Milan. Often referred to as the “King” or “the Maestro,” he was born in Piacenza, Italy, on July 11, 1934. Armani was as much a part of the character of Italy as la bella figura and la dolce vita and the reaction to his death on Thursday shot through the day, causing national television to interrupt its regular broadcast. The Milan municipality has declared that Monday will be a day of city mourning. Designers, business figures across the global fashion industry, and Hollywood A-listers also reacted with great sadness and praised the designer's legacy, vision and trailblazing style. Read the coverage at WWD.com now — #linkinbio

As the fashion world prepares for a slew of designer debuts this season, women’s voices still struggle to be heard. Director @alicewinocour aims to redress that imbalance with her film “Couture,” due to premiere Sunday at the Toronto International Film Festival. Starring @angelinajolie and set during @parisfashionweek, it trains the spotlight on three women working in the shadows of the fashion industry: an indie filmmaker, a model and a makeup artist. Jolie, switching seamlessly between English and French, plays Maxine Walker, a director of low-budget horror movies who’s hired to shoot a short film for a French fashion house, but finds out during the trip that she has breast cancer. The film explores how the characters’ stories intersect as they each seek to overcome challenges. Read more at WWD.com — #linkinbio Report: @jdiderich

Giorgio Armani has died at 91. The designer, who held the role of chairman, chief executive officer and creative designer, was gearing up to mark his namesake company’s 50th anniversary with a fashion show and party later this month. Armani, whose languid tailoring was viewed as revolutionary in the ’70s and ’80s, also built one of the most admired privately held business empires in the industry – one of the few remaining. While staying true to his own vision and strategy throughout his life, he also took bold decisions to ensure the long-term success of his company. Read more about his legacy at WWD.com and swipe for more photos of Armani from the Fairchild Archive.

Over a fashion career spanning more than 30 years, Rick Owens has rebelled against intolerance and uptightness in all its forms, and become a cult fashion hero for his steadfast independence and highly original fashion vision, serving up bombast and a dash of transgression alongside his dignified, darkly glamorous designs. “I do feel that the world always needs provocateurs," the designer said in WWD Weekend's September issue, reflecting on his infamous “free willy” men’s show for fall 2015. Owens noted the spectacle riled Karl Lagerfeld, who denounced it as “disgusting” on French television. Read more from the interview at WWD.com — #linkinbio Report: Miles Socha Credit: Kuba Dabrowski / @kukukuba

“Did someone say Pucci?” @naomi sings, grooving to a disco throb and delivering the line like Deee-Lite’s Lady Miss Kier might. The British supermodel brought her A-game to the fall campaign shoot, throwing her hands up in the air and letting her hair fly as the club lights pulsed and strobes flickered around her. “She was in a super great mood, super joyful and was giving a lot,” said @camillemiceli, @emiliopucci’s artistic director, who goes back a long way with Campbell. “I think she perfectly embodies this collection, because there is a glamorous, diva feeling to it…a very Studio 54 kind of vibe.” See more at WWD.com — #linkinbio Report: Miles Socha

If celebratory sprays of Champagne have been par for the course in Formula 1 ( @f1) since the 1950s, those raising a glass throughout racing weekends now also have an alcohol-free option on the menu. @french.bloom, the beverage brand launched by @constancejablonski and @maggie_frerejean_taittinger in 2021, on Thursday was named the elite motorsport’s official nonalcoholic sparkling wine partner. The terms of the decade-long deal, which kick off with the 2025 Italian Grand Prix in Monza running Friday to Sunday, were not disclosed. It follows the October acquisition of a minority stake in the brand by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which earlier this year signed a broadranging 10-year deal with Formula 1.
