@mustafathepoet collaborated with @devhynes for two songs on Essex Honey, the latest Blood Orange album.⁠ ⁠ Mustafa – the Sudanese-Canadian musician, poet and former FACE cover star – has written an article reflecting on the time he spent with Dev in Jamaica, Paris and East London, observing his creative process and the emotive power of Essex Honey. ⁠ ⁠ “Dev has a fervent hold on all the instruments he plays, including the one in his chest,” writes Mustafa. “His grief spells itself without compromise, without correction… Dev finds stories in instruments that have forgotten what they possess.
