Hydra Edition x Alekos Fassianos Atelier 🌾 Αποκαλόκαιρο (apokalokairo): Greek term that refers to the end of summer. To close the summer season, we hosted a truly special workshop at the Alekos Fassianos Atelier in Kea, a space Fassianos personally purchased in 1967 and used as his summer sanctuary for creativity. We gathered objects that evoke the spirit of summer and placed them on the atelier’s terrace, inviting guests to choose the ones that resonated most with their own memories and use them as inspiration for crayon drawings. The atelier team graciously gave us a tour of the space, still intimate and personal, filled with the artist’s handcrafted toys, ceramics, painted furniture, and decorative details - a serene and secluded creative haven. After more than four hours filled with conversation, laughter, and drawing, the evening came to a close with beautiful music by @ermismusic and @stef_greece, creating the perfect ending to a memorable gathering. Thank you to @semeliestate for providing the wines 🙏🏻 Captured by @vasthalis @point.ninety.nine

Hydra Edition x Tanti vol. 2 🧄 For the second edition of our workshop with @tantiandco, we welcomed our guests back to our signature Hydra spot to create necklaces featuring the brand’s iconic ceramic dudes. Usually appearing in pairs, each Tanti dude carries its own quirky personality. For this special evening on the island, they embraced the Hydrian lifestyle, expressions and all. It was a fun (and very windy) night filled with drawing, creativity, and laughter, marking our final workshop in Hydra for the summer season. A huge thank you to everyone who joined Hydra Edition this summer - we loved creating with you and can’t wait for what’s next 🩵 Captured by @vasiliki_verousi

A morning at Casa Dalí 🥚 During her summer holidays in Spain, our founder @vasiliki_verousi visited the Salvador Dalí House Museum, the artist’s residence for fourty years. What began as a humble fisherman’s hut in Portlligat gradually transformed into the eccentric labyrinth we know today. The house only welcomes a limited number of visitors each day, so booking ahead is essential. As the village is quite remote, you’ll find just a couple of coffee shops nearby and a small canteen at the car park. Vasiliki’s tip: grab a sangria and enjoy it on the beach overlooking Dalí’s home. This unique space holds countless memories of Dalí and his wife, Gala, who lived there until her final days. Inside, you’ll even spot some of their stuffed pet swans and Gala’s favourite flowers, carefully replaced every three months by the museum team. Swipe through to discover Vasiliki’s favourite corners of this surreal hideaway.

Hydra Edition x Ksenoi Projects 🪢 Knots and t-shirts might not sound like an obvious pairing, but with the guidance of @ksenoi.projects founder Anna, we made it happen. We kicked off the workshop with a playful round of “connect the dots,” creating sketches that later became stamps for our t-shirts. Through sketching and knot-tying, we opened up a space for guests to explore identity, expression, and connection with one another. To deepen the theme of memory and the repurpose of materials, one of Hydra’s fishermen, @fishingwithyiannishydra, gathered old nets, rope cutouts, and unused gear that we repurposed to decorate the table. The finished t-shirts were then packaged in bags crafted from nautical sacks. Captured by @vasiliki_verousi

Hydra Edition x @tantiandco necklace 🦐 Handpicked pearls, shrimps made of glass and gold. After meeting Tanti and hosting a workshop in Buyukada in June, we went for a walk through the markets of Istanbul and came across the most beautiful glass charms, so we wanted to create something that celebrates summer together. This is how our “Hydra Dude Loves Shrimps” necklace came to life. Captured between Hydra and Buyukada, swipe through to discover the necklace and visit @tantiandco website to purchase it. Hydra Edition x Symela 🐚 A jewelry workshop like no other. This workshop was many years in the making, led by a dear friend, Symela of @symelaftd. Since we met in London over a decade ago, we always wanted to come together and collaborate on a unique workshop, and what better place to do so than Hydra? Using her unique technique, we shaped clay into sculptural, fluid bases for pendants and decorated them with tiny seashells, beads, colourful clay, and pearls. Each guest developed their own design, resulting in a variety of pieces inspired by our summery surroundings. For the workshop table setup, we used over 40 semedakia, traditional hand-sewn napkins, in different shapes and sizes. Captured by @vasthalis @point.ninety.nine & @vasilikimois_photography

Hydra Edition x @aperlaeliving collection 🧿 Very excited to share our collaboration with @aperlaeliving and present the first images of the dress and bag we created together. The “Hydra” dress is designed with very special hand sewn napkins from our quest between Greece and Turkey. All from precious women’s chests and most of them from the treasures of Aperlae Living’s creative director Asena’s grandmother. The dress and bag are available to purchase via the @aperlaeliving website. Captured by @vasiliki_verousi

Hydra Edition Private Workshop 🍉 “The one with the selfie colouring book” Last week we threw a very special workshop to celebrate @tzourntos birthday in Hydra. Manos has been one of the very first people to attend a Hydra Edition workshop so we wanted to give the love back on his special day. We set up the table with fresh fruit just on time for the sunset, and all his friends joined us to colour sketches of Manos’ selfies throughout the years. Captured by @vasiliki_verousi

Meet the artist: Stratis Tavlaridis After our recent workshop with @stratis_tavlaridis in Hydra, we thought it was time to bring you closer to the creatives we collaborate with. Known for his delicate paper-cut installations, Stratis turns everyday objects and memories into something light and full of feeling. For him, paper is the perfect medium to express movement, emotion, and the delicate weight of memory. We asked Stratis to share five facts about himself and his process. So here he is, in his own words: 🎨 I traded my childhood toys for painting—my way of building a world of my own. 🎧 To complete “Long Waves, 27mm,” I worked daily for five months and listened to around 450 podcasts. 👂🏻 While making my piece for the Mediterranean Biennale, I found out my ear stones had shifted from overworking—true story. 🧘🏻‍♂️ I feel calm when everything’s in order: clean space, clear mind, creative freedom. 🍷 My ideal weekends start with walks in Athens and end with wine, friends, and me falling asleep five minutes into a movie. Hydra Edition x Alexandria Coe 🍇 For our workshop tables, we always use fruit and vegetables for decoration but this time we made them a main part of the workshop. Hydra Edition founder @vasiliki_verousi started by helping all guests curate their own installation using the fruit and vegetables provided, and @alexandriacoe_ guided everyone into creating still-life charcoal drawings. At the end of the workshop, everyone left with their very own paintings and all the fruit and vegetables they chose (plus some bread, always). Captured by @vasiliki_verousi

Hydra Muses: Bread A staple at every table, bread is more than food - it’s a symbol of sharing. At the end of each Hydra Edition workshop, we divide the remaining bread among the participants, continuing the spirit of community beyond the table. We couldn’t make a post about bread without a mention of ourfavourite bakery on the island, Στάχυ, and its owner Stefanos, who’s made the very first loaf for a Hydra Edition table and continues to be part of it until today.
